Gordon Food Service upgrades Distribution Efficiency Across the U.S. after teaming up with Descartes Systems Group (Nasdaq: DSGX)

Descartes Systems Group (Nasdaq: DSGX) reported that Gordon Food Service, the largest privately operated and family-managed food service provider in North America, teaming up with the mobile solution Descartes Perform for Food to increase accuracy and productivity across its North American distribution network during consumer delivery.

The company aims to be innovators of world-class activities in foodservice supply chain operations that satisfy our customers’ demands, said Bob Cantello (Gordon Food Service’s North American Transportation Director).

Like Descartes Perform, aids the company supply accurate deliveries while removing the overhead of legacy paper-based delivery processes.

Descartes Perform for Food is a cloud-based mobile solution that helps distributors of food supplies reduce the expense of paper and paper production associated with end-mile delivery. By facilitating accurate delivery, mitigating issues and write-offs involving oversights and disqualifies and hurts (OS & Ds), and allowing carriers to keep clean invoices to clients at the point of shipment, the solution increases consumer satisfaction. The order-to-cash era also enhances clean billing. The ETA (Expected Shipping Period) and supplier information are available in real-time, ensuring the distributor-customer relationship’s longevity and quality.
